AFTRS is an Australian institution for screen and broadcast education. As a leading creative and technical training provider, AFTRS offers a variety of courses in film, television, radio, and digital media. The institution operates in a highly tech-driven environment, requiring stable, responsive, and secure IT infrastructure to support over 500 students and 270 staff.
Opportunity
AFTRS were looking to upgrade their Cisco Secure Firewall software, Microsoft security solutions for VPN access, as well as professional services. They had an existing firewall which lacked support for security certifications, hence it necessitated an upgrade. AFTRS also required professional services to ensure a smooth deployment and integration with their existing IT infrastructure.
Solution
Outcomex implemented an upgrade to AFTRS Cisco Firewall, enhanced VPN security, and also provided professional services. Our team deployed the project in structured phases – from assessments, to consultation, design, implementation, and post-deployment support.
The educational institution needed a security upgrade, including high-speed data cables, and a server racks that speak to the mini towers and desks – to support their infrastructure that accommodates students working on 3D imaging, animation, screen recording, and more. Any system downtime could disrupt both students and staff, making reliability a top priority. Additionally, while their ICT systems needed to be strong and high-end, it also needed to be simple and accessible for end-users.
