Hobart Rotary Sail Day

On Friday 28th of February, members of our Melbourne team flew down to Hobart to join our valued partners Cisco and Cisco Meraki, as well as some of our Tasmanian customers to participate in the Hobart Rotary Charity Sail Day.

Entering into the 29th year, Rotary Club of Hobart Charity Sail Day is renowned for raising funds in excess of $930,000 and remains one of Tasmania’s largest local fundraising event.

The funds raised at this event go towards the initiatives of the Rotary Club of Hobart. Previously, money raised has gone towards Food Plant Solutions, a Rotary International movement to address malnourishment among communities in developing countries. Rotary Hobart’s efforts also extend to the support of local organisation West Moonah Community House, who provide important services; like counselling, a community pantry, and a community pre-school.

After boarding the yacht from Elizabeth St Pier, along with an estimate of 70 other ocean racers and cruisers, we sailed the River Derwent towards the beautiful Bruny Island. It was a wonderful day for the Outcomex Melbourne team and our Valued Partners.
