Outcomex’s Sydney and Melbourne teams recently traded their office desks for a day of community service at Foodbank.
One of our foundational principles is to make a meaningful difference within our community by supporting the communities we operate in. Supporting local charities is etched into the DNA of our company, which is why we ensure our staff are involved in a variety of volunteering activities. At Outcomex, our dedication to fostering positive change in our community is steadfast. We cherish a vibrant culture of volunteering, ensuring that our passionate team engages wholeheartedly in a diverse range of volunteer endeavors aimed at making a meaningful impact.
The day kicked off bright and early as our team arrived ready to roll up our sleeves and get to work. Armed with high-vis vests, steel-toe capped boots, and a can-do attitude, we dove headfirst into the task: sorting and packing food orders for those in need, packing a combined total of 37,530 meals. A day of teamwork and charity also proved to be a great team-bonding experience, with lots of laughs and banter around the warehouse.
By the time the day was done, we had packed enough food to feed countless individuals and families in their communities. We had 10 volunteers from Outcomex Melbourne who packed 36 orders equating to approximately 28,356 meals going out to local communities. Sixteen volunteers from Outcomex Sydney picked and packed eight orders amounting to 5,097kg worth of food.
We set aside a special day to give back to our community, a reflection of our deep-rooted belief in the collective strength of our efforts to enhance the well-being of those facing hardship.
We left with a sense of accomplishment and a newfound appreciation for the amount of access we have to food in our daily lives, whether it be in our homes or even our offices.
It was a day well spent, reminding everyone involved that sometimes, the greatest rewards come from giving back to the community.
